Carrying Messages.

Scenery’s never been so vivid.

But rain is rain;

Diagonal rods,

The spaces between,

Carrying messages

Through grass-tips

To fence post sentry posts

And the long-bone,

White trunks of

Yellow-spade birches

That struggle to hold

Up the clouds.

Rain is always rain,

Though not always pure.

The words I used

Those I chose not to.
