All those
Years of squares
That told us which way to go,
How to get there …
Then:
The triangle
Saying
“Slow down:
You’re going too fast.”
The circles adding:
“Well, you’ve only got
Yourself to blame;
We did
Try to warn you!”
And the lines
Between poles
Seeming to smile down
On it all.
This gives me a picture of road safety, its definitely something people should pay attention to or they’re the ones to blame. This was a great read! 👍 – Michelle
Based on a journey we took to visit our daughter.
So you are correct:
British road signs showing routes are square
radar operated “you are going too fast” warnings (my wife was driving – honest!) are flashing triangles
speed limits are shown in circles
Great perception you have!
Oh, the journey was not at all dramatic, that came from the poet inside
